By popular request (aka 1 person named Laura), I am showing off my Fat Mum Slim Photo a Day May pictures in case you don't follow me on Instagram.  Please keep in mind the following when viewing my pictures.

I have no creative skills
I took all these on my iPhone 4 and not an iPhone 4S with its fancier camera
I used a combination of Camera+ and Instagram to edit the pictures

May 2012 Photo A Day Challenge

Are you up for trying the June challenge?  I think I am taking the month of.

Why Instagram?

I am growing more and more addicted to Instagram.  For those who are not in the cool phone world, Instagram is an application for phones that applies filters to pictures you take on your phone to give them different looks and publishes them in a live feed format.  I like Instagram, not for the filters, but for the live feed.  Maybe I am tired of sharing with the masses on facebook and enjoy the smaller audience on Instagram.  I am not really sure why I enjoy it so much right now.

I also like Instagram for the ability to search by tags.  For example, you can view everyone's submissions for the Fat Mum Slim May photo a day challenge by searching for tag #photoadayMay.   

Think of Instagram as facebook status updates but with pictures and tags for searching.  I love to see other people's "day in the life of" photos.  You can follow businesses.  You can follow friends.  You can follow bloggers that don't know you exist.

Don't have a cool phone?  There is a website viewer called WebStagram that allows you to see Instagram feeds.  Check out the feed for my pictures here. You can also play with the hash tag searching.

I plan to do her May Photo a Day Challenge too, but no worries...I will not bore you with the pictures.  I really enjoyed the activity.  I have something to look forward to every day and it makes me more alert of my surroundings.  I also have to use the very tiny creative part of my brain.

For day 17, yes I do like my son, but I do not like the almost daily head wounds I allow him to have since he loves to bash his head on various pieces of furniture / toys.  I have decided not to hover too much.  

For day 20, the Draw Something application for phones is a great way to pass time.  Can you tell what my picture is?

Continuing with FatMumSlim's photo a day challenge for April.  These are even less inspiring than week 1.

Can you guess my feelings in day 14?  If you guessed attached, jealous, and frumpy....then you guessed right,  Attached, no explanation needed.  I was jealous because Hunter got to go play golf for 4 hours sans kiddo.   Frumpy, again, no explanation needed.

Happy Tax Day! Be sure to go to Sonic for a half price drink all day.  I plan to.  I plan to try some sweet tater tots too.

FatMumSlim is doing a photo a day challenge for April. In an attempt to channel my creativity and improve my photography skills, I am participating.

As soon as I have time, I will post some pics from our Key West trip.  The highlights were the beach, the view, the city, and the food.  The lowlights were two new teeth, a 6 month old strapped in a car for 6+ hours, and skipping naps.  I would do it all over again a hundred times.
